Investiture Ceremony

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

“Reach high, for stars lie behind in your soul, Dream big, for every dream precedes the goal.”

The Investiture Ceremony of The Shikshiyan School was held on Saturday, 21-05-22 to invest the newly appointed school council. It was attended by Chairman Mr Mukul Dagar, Principal Mrs Geeta Dagar and Vice- Principal Mrs Preeti Dagar.

The ceremony was held with zeal and enthusiasm. It commenced with the Welcome address by school coordinator Ms Yogita Nagpal, followed by Lighting of lamp which signifies the removal of darkness and continuous upward movement of the flame denotes a path of wisdom and divinity. Soulful rendition School song was presented by school choir group.

The Head Boy , Nishant Janghu and the Head Girl, Aadhya Shukla and other council representatives were conferred with badges and sashes . The student council took the pledge to hold the school motto in high esteem.

This was later followed by a beautiful fusion dance performance by the students from different grades.

The students were addressed by Chairman sir and Principal ma’am. They congratulated the newly elected Student’s Council and emphasised the significance of setting priorities and to be a team player. Principal ma’am reminded the members that they are the torch bearers of all values that the school stands for and urged to take responsibility with commitment and Integrity.

The Ceremony was concluded with the Vote of thanks and the National Anthem.

    Social science week

    “ Science morally neutral, but social science shows us that some moral codes are better than others “ – Mario Bunge

    The Social Science Week was an informative and educative week which helped the students to enjoy their Social Science sessions with intent and vigour and took them one step out and ahead of the books. It was observed in school from the 20 May to 27 May whereby a myriad of activities were carried out by the students of Classes I-XII. The classroom became a hive of active learning with students participating in variegated activities.

    Class I- V had their activities on 20th May’22 . Class I was involved in Monuments of India which was the topic of Collage Making competition. While class II was involved in Freedom Fighters Character Dramatization competition; Class III was cooking up the different flavours of India. Beautiful and attractive masks were handmade by the students for class IV for the competition on tribes of India and last but not the least Class V was in a perfect presentation of budding artists on Aatma Nirbhar Bharat in advertisement designing competition.

    On May 25th Class VI actively participated in Inter-house Class Dhamma Competition also they prepared a PPT on relevance of Ashoka’s dhamma in today’s scenario. While class VII was involved in “ Global Warming and it’s impact on humanity “ Inter-house declamation competition. The AD Mad inter -House competition was a hit in Class VIII, such creativity was reflected on the topic of “Aatma Nirbhar Bharat “. The Inter house Quiz competition on “ Constitution of India “ was bought to us by the Classes of IX- XII. Guidelines for disaster management were also displayed in all school corridors.

    The enthusiasm, devotion, and passion with which the students engrossed themselves in the activities reflected that they are the true torchbearers to understand and realise that nothing is impossible to willing mind. The success of week marked to show how Social Studies can help in raising the awareness of students about issues related to their daily lives as well as the vast diversity of the world.

      Mother's Day Celebration

      “When you are looking at your mother, you are looking at the purest love you will ever know.” —Charley Benetto

      International Mother's Day is celebrated around the world as a day to honour mothers, and motherly bonds within the family, It is an important occasion that falls on the second Sunday of May every year which is May 8, 2022. A special assembly was held to make the children aware about mother’s day importance.

      Mom , who we take for granted but she’s always there with us in our thick and thin, in our good and bad, a person supporting their children all the time, who has given up all her love , wishes and dreams for us so that her children can accomplish everything in their lives and a beautiful warm comfy home.

      The assembly started with a Gayatri Mantra followed by prayer.

      Specially to mark this day and to make the kids understand the value, hardship and the deep love of The word Mother, which comes as emotions, a musical skit and dance was enacted by students of Class X and VIII. There were two beautiful dance performances done by students of Class X and VI . Assembly also addressed Malaria awareness campaign and was concluded with the National Anthem.

      A plethora of activities were conducted during the day to strengthen Mother-child bond of love.

      All in all it was an enjoyable and memorable day for each and every child which left an indubitable mark on the innocent hearts.

        Labour Day Celebration

        ‘Labour is the ladder through which human dignity and creative excellence are expressed.’ 

        May 1 is observed as May Day and is also known as International Labour Day worldwide. The day is observed as an occasion to commemorate the contributions of labourers and working class. This day has been declared a national holiday in numerous countries. It is also called Antarrashtriya Sharmik Diwas or Kamgar Din in India. The labour movement which ushered in various reforms including capping the work hours at eight and paid leaves. 
        To mark this day and teach our children to have gratitude, kindness & respect in heart for those who serve them on daily basis we had a special assembly on Friday 29 th April'22.
         The Tssians' presented a plethora of activities to pay tribute to all who selflessly serve for the betterment of the Nation. Their Skit, beautiful speech, "Thankyou card" & mesmerizing dance performance spellbound everyone.
        The School Principal Ms.Geeta Dagar appreciated the children & teachers for 
        their sincere efforts & thanked all who contribute on daily basis to make the life easier.
