World Heart Day

“A healthy heart is the main source of your strength.”

To increase public awareness of cardiovascular diseases, their prevention and their global impact, The Shikshiyan School celebrated World Heart Day. The students of grade VI-VIII participated to emphasize on the importance of being active and staying informed about cardiovascular health and diseases. The students participated in various activities such as healthy recepie making and poster making activity on healthy heart. The School organised speech on power our heart and healthy food to keep our heart healthy. Students prepared delicious and fun looking recepies to keep our heart happy and healthy.

    "Hindi is not an expression of expressions this is the devotion to die on the motherland."
    The Shikshiyan School celebrated Hindi Diwas with a myriad of activities.
    The highlights of the celebration was role play, Students and teachers organised an online doha recitation, Hindi slogan writing and declamation contest on the occasion of “Hindi Diwas”. The day started by seeking the blessings of the Almighty through video conferencing .The school organised a plethora of activities for different age groups followed by “doha gayan” activity for students. Students of classes Nursery to VIII participated in slogan vachan, doha vachan , paheliyan vachan and kavita vachan activity in which they inspired to speak Hindi.

      Teacher's Day

      “It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.”
      A teacher is the eternal guru and guides whose firm and loving grooming has shaped generations from times immemorial. She can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instill love for learning and to honour the hard work and determination towards the profession, The Shikshiyan School celebrated Teacher’s Day virtually on 4 September 2020 with great gusto and gaiety. The program was led first by the prayer followed by a peek into Dr Radharkrishan’s life and why Teacher’s Day is celebrated in India. After this, the little shikshiyanites surprised their teachers by performing a scintillating act like Card making, dance, song, dressing up as your teacher etc. to denote their love, respect, acknowledgement and gratitude.

        “The story of English spelling is the story of thousands of people - some well-known, most totally unknown - who left a permanent linguistic fingerprint on our orthography.”
        To motivate children to take keen interest in enriching their vocabulary skills to become effective and impressive communicators, The Shikshiyan School organized English Spellathon activity. The ongoing commitment of ‘Learning with Fun’ and to ensure children enjoy the whole learning process, ‘Spellathon activity’ was conducted for the students of Grade I-V. It is an activity that provides an opportunity to the students to enhance their vocabulary and studying for the spelling test. It is one of the best integration of imagination, education, technology, inclusiveness and fun at school along with a purpose.

          Lord Krishna is known world wide and celebrated as an avatar of God Vishnu on Monday, 30 th of August 2021, the students of The Shikshiyan School celebrated Janmashtami. The students of Grade 1 to 5 participated enthusiastically and were dressed as Radha and Krishna. A splendidly colorful program was organized by the children of the school; where students presented songs, dance performances and a short role play. An awareness on Janmashtami, the mythological stories on Krishna, Radha, Kansh – through plays and narrations; were presented to the children.
